Denver's aviation history is a rich and storied one, dating back to the early days of flight. In the early 1900s, Denver was home to one of the nation's first airports, and the city has been a major hub for aviation ever since.

In the 1950s, Denver's Stapleton Airport was one of the busiest airports in the world. It was a major hub for United Airlines, and it was also home to a number of other airlines. Stapleton Airport was also a major military base, and it was used by the Air Force, Navy, and Marines.
